Event: Brewing at Brewer's Apprentice

Posted by benb

For my 28th birthday I brewed a batch of ale at The Brewer's Apprentice in Freehold, NJ. This place is awesome, not only a brew shop but also brew-on-premises. They do wine and mead as well as beer! A lot of people go to create their own wine to give away for their weddings. Actually this is the second time I've been, the first was last September when for some reason Sarah and I decided to brew a Dunkelweisse without ever even having tried that style before (the description in the recipe book sounded good!). Needless to say, it's a complicated recipe, and a few things went wrong. So this time me, Brian, and Adam brewed a Wildfire Red Amber Ale which is one of their more popular (and simpler) recipes. In two to three weeks we will be back for bottling, and this style is force carbonated so it will be drinkable right away!
