Stone Levitation Ale
4.4% ABV
Review on May 25th, 2009

Cracked the bottle open:
Took a quick whiff, smells lightly fruity.
Took the first swig:
From the bottle, tastes better than the one I had yesterday (after several other beers).
Poured:
Direct into middle of glass, got a nice three finger head. Foam does not dissipate for several minutes.
Smell:
I'm not a good smeller but the smell is a milder version of that first "top of the bottle" smell I mention.
After a few sips:
I see why people like it, I mean it is only 4.4% ABV and it has a very decent taste. But it's also very "drinkable", gotta love that term, and I guess I'm just much more into bigger body beers, which means higher % ABV. Also in general I don't think I'm into regular Ale's too much. Of course they are great on a hot summer day or with a meal, but more as an accompaniment and not so much standing on their own as a "beer".
Final:
A fine beer but not something I would choose personally, as currently I am still in exploration mode (and have been for the past year or two).
